Hello and Thank You LPF

My name is Brendan and I've had my eye on this forum on and off for a few years and have enjoyed lasers (and all tech) since the time I was young and had my first red laser pointer that I believe outlived my first dog, if only I still knew where it was:-) Anyways, after wanting to get a proper laser for a few years, it recently financially fell into place and after reading much on this forum in regards to safety, wise first laser decisions, recommended vendors, etc... I finally bit the bullet and ordered a Jetlasers PL-E Mini 405nm 300mW and a PL-E Pro 532nm 300mW as well as the appropriate Laser goggles to accompany them and my little sisters who will surely be enjoying this hobby with me (in baby steps of course). I am eagerly awaiting their arrival, so in the meantime I don't yet have anything in terms of cool pictures or reviews and certainly no wisdom to share in regards to building lasers, YET. I cannot wait to learn to build my first laser which will also be a crash course in how to solder which I excitedly look forward to.

I just want to say thank you to everyone here on this forum. There are many of you who spend a lot of time answering peoples questions, and sharing your knowledge and insight, even when it's maybe not what the person wants to hear; you're helping people be safe and enjoy lasers and consequently keeping the integrity of this hobby intact as a result and I really admire that. Time helping others is no small investment and I think that speaks volumes about this community.

I look forward to learning and talking with many of you and developing a nice collection to share in the process. I'll stop rambling on for now.
