I was reading one of the stickied threads that encouraged introductions so here I am.
Let's see...
I've dabbled in electronics as a hobby since high school. I'm now 39. (As of today, in fact.) My main area of interest to this point has been audio. I've been designing/building/troubleshooting guitar stomp boxes and tube amplifiers for ~10 years now. Needless to say, I'm no stranger to a schematic, Ohm's law, or a soldering iron. But I admittedly still have much to learn. I've been a paramedic for 20 years; I've reached the point that I'm completely sick of it. I just recently returned to school as an electrical engineering major.
I think those are most of the immediately pertinent details. I'll proceed to lurking now, at least until I get a feel for the place...
Ah, yes. I'm in Northwest Arkansas, by the way. I look forward to reading and learning much, here.
