NUBM07E How I have missed thee.

My beloved NUBM07E with Gball removed running @ 3.4 -3.6 amps was a stunner, but alas she was not meant to last.

So now I try with the Gball intact.

The short of it, it's a beautiful color, the beam is useable up close, but diverges fast into a large rectangle about 20mm x 40mm at 14 feet, but a secondary lens could make good use of this output, I am using the same salvaged SXD @ 3.4 - 3.6 amps.

I am happy to have my pretty blue beam back, but it will be getting some glasses, I think a round lens or two, maybe a sanwu 3X expander.

No matter what I will make her work with her Gball intact, they were meant to be together, and the output in much more square through this magic Gball.

I am about to heatsink putty my copper 8pin sink to the housing, I made a little bit of a mess, but it all ended up attached and cleaned up.

I used 4 long #8 screws to sandwich everything to the main sink, nice and tight for good heat transfer.

Not a prom queen, but for a 15 dollar flashlight a 5 dollar sink and two 3 dollar led fin mounts, a few screws and a hand made ring of copper it's hard to beat the price. Also thanks to ABarnett for the NUBM07E, I really like the 2 digit price :thanks:

Useable burning beam up close.

Spreads out a little fast, but still gorgeous.

Ends up big but in a 1 to 2 ratio, squarest output ever for a 07E. Square is good, it means round lenses can focus it to a point, with a bigger lens and a longer focal length this will have some reach, my god this has been under our noses all along, wait and see what a setup like Alaskans big expanders can do with this Gball output, the curse is a blessing me thinks.

Tight focal points at longer distances for anyone interested in more than lighting matches on their desk.

I will post more later, please feel free to post your 07E results here as well, Thanks.
