My new Golden Beam Star Pointer (Pic Heavy).

I recently bought this beautiful Golden CNI 589nm 80mW PGL-III-C from Eforce (Aust dealer) and it just blows me away every time I use it.
Such a gorgeous colour and so very well made.
The unit arrived within two weeks, well packed and Eforce was always in contact with me letting me know of it's progress.

The unit is very solid and is packed with safety features (which is a pain at times) but good to have anyway.
It has a key switch and a kill switch (dongle) that has to be in place for the laser to operate once you press the side button with a five second delay before turning on.

The front has an aperture shutter too which keeps the dust off the lens when stored away.

This is actually a very nice colour to use for astronomy star pointing and even though it's 80mW it's not overpowering at night pointing up in the sky so your night vision is not impaired.

I keep it in a nice solid 'Pelican' type case which keeps it dry and dust free.
