I bought a couple of high voltage step up boost modules from Ebay just to see what they are like. Obviously the stated output voltage is very much over stated. 1000 kV.... Yeah, a million volts... Thats going to be real. A spark about 50 inches :drool:
What i was not expecting was the amount of energy in the spark. Both modules jump about 20mm easily. Probaly about 15-20 kV.
The crack from the spark is amazing. Very loud and about 50 a second. I ran them on a 7.4 volt RC LiPo pack.
It seems to me like these might be the core boost module for a Tazer :gun:
