Hello all,
I am searching a laser pointer to heat-up rock sample upto 40 -50 degree centigrade. All i want to do is heat up very small area of rock sample (inside lab) using laser pointer upto a specific temperature (say 10 degree above room temp.) and turn off the source. Next i want to log temperature profile (drop in temperature with respect to time). Primary objective is to calculate thermal conduvtivity & emissivity of rock samples (without making contact with the sample).
I have IR thermometer (optris CS -10~350 degree centigrade) to log temperature. I have done few experiments using solder iron/heat gun, as a heat source. But i need a pointed heat source so i can repeat measurements at different places on the rock sample.
Any help/suggestion in this regard is highlt appreciated.
Regards,
Moeed
