A good tripod/clamp for hosts similar size to an artic.

Can anyone recommend a good place to pick up a good laser clamp?
I know a lot of people use the mic clips but these just don't seem sturdy enough to me. I may be wrong but that's just an observation.
Is there anything sturdy and designed specifically for the job?
