I've been away from LPF for a while, but back when I was posting here regulary the most powerful hand held lasers were around 1.2 watts of 445nm.. Man, I see some are over 7 watts now!
My previous 445nm laser was 1 Watt so I wanted to try something a little more powerful. I noticed advertisement from Sci-Fi Lasers at the top and contacted them. Ended up getting the Arcane 2.0, as I really liked the looks of that host.
Received my Arcane from MrTheJoker301 last week and figured I'd do a short review and post a burn demo for anyone who is interested..
First, it did take a little time to get my laser due to Israel Post, but MrTheJoker301 always answered my PMs and emails very promptly to keep me up to-date. Very nice guy to deal with.
After getting the laser in my hands, the first thing I noticed was the heft of this host.. Feels like a quality unit. Very nicely machined and polished.
Threw in a couple of batteries and powered it on, then noticed that without even being focused it was already burning the wall next to me. Man this thing is powerful!
I made a short YouTube vid to demonstrate its burning power. To be honest, using items that I used years ago to test previous lasers like matches, tape and balloons doesn't really cut it for this beast. Its not even a challenge. I need to find some better items to burn which will really show off its power. I guess this will give you an idea though.
Thanks to MrTheJoker301 for this awesome laser!
