I want to purchase the following items, shown below, but I want to confirm in the application I will not burn out the laser or the Darlington BJT. If anyone has experience with these items please chime in.

- 12X S06J 405nm Diode https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf...12x-405-diodes
- 12X S06J 405nm Diode In 12mm Copper Module w/ Nano Buck/Boost Driver
: With 3 Element Glass Lens

I want to do the following configuration:

For the case above My questions would be:
- The laser is rated at 450mW but I would like to under power it to around 100mW, does the Driver allow for the control to lower the power output?
- Would the Nano Buck/Boost Driver(which replaces the LM317T,R1 and R2) work with a 100ohm resistor (R3) and a NTE2315?
- If anyone has recommendations for lower power parts, feel free to share. I have not found a place where I can get the parts within the week.

I already have a closed environment lab where I will be working with a lab partner with Safety Glasses, so no windows and extra safety precautions will be taken.
