Is an unfocused 4W laser do dangerous at 5 meters?

I will buy a 4w laser, I want to know if the laser will be unfocused and have a spread of around 20cmx20cm(8"x8") at a distance of 5 meters.

Will it be dangerous if it will hit the eyes?
