Hi,
This was a fun build and this diode is very bright even in well lit rooms. The beam pic below was taken with lights on and flash. The pic of the module is to show how I used a cu full back and two focus knobs to make the module the right lenth to pinch between the battery pill and cu washer. It has a knotch filed into the bottom focus knob so the diode wires don't pinch.
What's in it:
2- 750ma drivers set at 600ma ea. From existotem ($10)
Mitsubishi 500 diode techood ($18)
Cree flashlight item #151821622578 ebay ($5)
G7 lens podo ($11)
extended focus adapter, survival laser ($10)
12mm brass 5.6mm module with full cu back ($2)
1 3/4" cu washer
Total: $56
This flashlight is a sweet host as it will also accept the 35mm cu modules DTR sales
Thanks for looking
